Services & Treatment Approach

Care is tailored to your unique goals and may include medication management, psychotherapy, or an integrated combination of both.

Treatment Options

Medication Management

Careful evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing monitoring of psychiatric medications. Rather than relying solely on symptom checklists, I contextualize treatment within your broader life history, values, and goals.

Psychotherapy

I offer two complementary, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, tailored to what fits your goals best:

  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy: A reflective talk therapy that explores how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns influence present thoughts, feelings, and behavior. This approach is typically open-ended and moves at a pace that best supports your goals.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): A present-focused, values-driven approach that helps you build psychological flexibility, learning to make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while taking meaningful action toward what matters most. ACT is often time-limited (typically 12 to 20 weekly sessions), though longer care is available when helpful.

Integrated Care (Combined Treatment)

For many individuals, medication and psychotherapy work best in tandem. I coordinate both under a single care plan, continually adjusting treatment as your needs evolve.

Conditions & Concerns Addressed

Clinical Conditions: Anxiety and panic disorders, depression and mood disorders, OCD, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, and ADHD.

Life & Stress Support: Relationship struggles, career pressures, grief and loss, and major life transitions.

Getting Started: What to Expect

Step 1 · 10 to 15 Minutes

Brief Phone Screen

Before scheduling, I offer a brief phone call to discuss your current needs and help us determine if my practice is the right fit for you.

Step 2 · 60 to 90 Minutes

Initial Psychiatric Consultation

An in-depth visit where I review your mental health and medical history, explore your concerns, and develop an initial diagnostic assessment and treatment plan with you.

The Consultative Period: The first three visits serve as a mutual evaluation period to ensure my practice is the right fit for your ongoing needs. If specialized care elsewhere would better serve you, I will help connect you with appropriate referrals.

Step 3

Ongoing Follow-Up Care

Once established, follow-up visits are scheduled according to your personalized treatment plan:

  • Psychotherapy Visit (with or without Medication) · 55 Minutes: Regular psychotherapy sessions (utilizing psychodynamic therapy, ACT, or both) with medication adjustments incorporated along the way, if needed.
  • Medication Management Visit · 25 Minutes: Focused follow-up visits for patients whose treatment plan calls for medication management alone.
